Annie Aho is a 2009 graduate of American University’s School of Communication with a Masters in broadcast journalism.  Having a passion for news and politics, Annie began her career during the 2004 presidential election as a liaison between the national press corps and Secret Service. In 2005, Annie interned on Capitol Hill for Senator Norm Coleman.  She worked on issues affecting Minnesotans and assisted the Media Director with press releases. Annie also helped with the production of Senator Coleman’s Minnesota Update, a video featuring the Senator that was aired on public television stations across the state. 

 In 2008, Annie was the executive producer of American Observer’s Election Edition.  She coordinated the editing, producing and reporting of over 30 graduate and undergraduate students in an effort to give unique coverage of the historic election.  For inauguration, Annie worked with CBSNews.com.  Using a flip cam and digital camera, she reported on the personal stories of many attendees and her work was featured on CBSNews.com and CBSeyemobile.com. 

Annie Aho currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  This summer, Annie interned for FOX News Channel in New York, New York.  She reported, produced, anchored, edited and directed packages for FNCU — FOX News Channel University.  She managed the intern Web site, edited, posted content and managed comments. She also helped create, develop and manage the FNCU internal social networking site. In addition, Annie created, managed and expanded the FNCU Facebook group. Before she left in October to pursue a on-air job, Annie was hired by FOX to personally assist America’s Newsroom Anchor, Megyn Kelly.  She researched story ideas, pitched, booked and screened Kelly’s Court segments (many of which were used), printed scripts and personally assisted the America’s Newsroom anchors.
